We’ve switched to zero contact delivery until further notice. You won’t be asked to sign for your order.
Social distancing is in force in our fulfilment centre. All staff wear gloves and other hygiene equipment and wash their hands hourly.
The extra measures in place mean it may take a little longer than usual to get your plants from our growers to you, but we’re doing everything we can to deliver your orders as quickly as possible. We really appreciate your patience and understanding.

We have 3 sizes of pots. The small pot (for our small plants) has a diameter of 5-6 inches and is 5 inches tall. The medium pot (for our medium plants) has a diameter of 7-8 inches and is 7 inches tall. The large pot (for our large and sometimes extra-large plants) has a diameter of 10-12 inches and is 10.25 inches tall.
All Modern Garden plants are fully grown as in the picture, however, each plant is unique so there will be variations in color, shape, etc. Your plant will arrive healthy and undamaged, pre-potted in one of our Modern planter of your choosing.
All live plants and pottery will have variations in color, texture, finish, and size. While we make every effort to display our pots and plants as accurate as possible, there may be subtle differences from what is displayed online.
Our lines of ORION,NOVA, and SKYLAR planters are without drainage holes. If the potted plant you select does not have a drainage hole, rest assured knowing our team has taken extra precautions to make sure that your plant is potted properly with a generous layer of lava rocks before the potting mix, to aid in proper water management and help your plant thrive. Lava rocks allow excess water to pool at the bottom of the planter but away from your plant’s roots, thus reducing the risk of root rot.
Tip: when watering your plant, add no more than 1/3 of the planter’s volume in water, to avoid overwatering. Best practice is to feel the potting mix a few inches down first, and only water if the mix is dry.

Orders typically ship within 5-10 business days of being placed. In rare circumstances, it may take up to 7-12 business days to ship in order to ensure your new plant(s) arrive happy, healthy, and in the most premium form possible. From there, the transit time depends on your shipping zip code.
We currently ship our indoor plants to the North-east region of the USA (CT, DE, ME, MD, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT, VA & WV) and plan to expand very soon!
The delivery rate ranges depending on weight and quantity.
Preferably yes, someone must be available to receive the delivery. (This can be via a shipping room in a large office building or with a concierge.) If you dont think anyone will be there, you can give us permission to leave the delivery in a specified safe and accessible area in the checkout notes.
We guarantee the safe and healthy arrival of all our plants. In the rare occasion that your plant and/or pot was damaged during shipping, we will happily send you a replacement free of charge.
Just send us your order number and a photo of your damaged plant via our chat or email us directly at email@example.com so we can determine the condition of your order and send a replacement when necessary.
If the plant you ordered is no longer in season, you will be advised to pick another plant of the same size for your replacement.
We currently only offer returns or exchanges on our care products and accessories.
